Six Knights Tally Points In Win Over Rival Christendom

 

Front Royal, VA. – Central Penn's men's soccer team picked up their 4th road victory by dominating 9-1 in a win over ESAC rival Christendom (3-4-1) at Crusader Fields Tuesday afternoon. 

It truly was a team effort with a lot of scoring all around for the Knights. 

GAME SUMMARY

Central Penn (6-1) struck early with the first two goals scored by Oscar Flores and Blake Eiserman within the first 12 minutes.

The Knights kept the pressure on by scoring two more goals in the half from Jacob Philippe (26:00) and Amson Charleston (44:00). Central Penn goes into the half up 4-0.

After halftime, the Knights continued to control the contest by getting a team goal (53:00) and scoring 4 more goals coming from Amson Charleston (2nd goal, 62:00), Dylan Luong (68:00), and two straight from Adam Youssef (84:15, 84:30).

The Knights defensive unit was also strong in limiting the Crusaders to 9 shots and 4 shots on goal. Goalies Andrew Hunter (2 saves) and Christian Gray (1 save) protected the goal as usual.

Christendom’s only goal came from Ryan Welch at the very end of the game.

NOTABLES

- Scoring was spread out across the team with 9 total between 6 players (Amson Charleston and Adam Youssef with 2 each)

- Big win on the road against an ESAC rival

The Knights have a quick turnaround and will face Notre Dame College of MD Thursday afternoon. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m.
