Mens Soccer Wins First Ever ESAC Championship
HARRISBURG, Pa. – Central Penn's men's soccer team made history by shutting out Manor College 2-0 and winning their first ever ESAC Championship in school history Friday night, Nov.
1st at Skyline Sports Complex.
Grant Bernstein found the back of the net at the 55:30 mark, while Donnie Powell racked up another goal at the 77:21 mark (Assisted by Chris Saboe-Moore) to give the Knights the 2-0 victory.
Central Penn (12-3, 9-0 ESAC) struggled to find a goal in the opening half, the nerves were high and the team knew what was at stake.
Despite 6 shots for the home team in the first half, the visiting Blue Jays (9-8-1, 4-4-1 ESAC) kept it scoreless through the first half. It was a different story after halftime, however, with Central Penn converting two times to create some breathing room down the stretch.
