Men’s Soccer Falls to Christendom
FRONT ROYAL, Va. –Central Penn Knights men’s soccer team fell to Christendom 3-1 in a conference match on Saturday afternoon, September 20th.
GAME SUMMARY
Blake Eiserman (Assisted by Isaac Melendez) scored the lone goal for the Knights (4-1-1, 3-1 ESAC) in the first half, but the visitors were unable to hold off the Crusaders (2-3-1, 1-2 ESAC) and their offensive prowess as they netted three markers to earn the 3-1 victory.
The first half began with an early offensive push from Christendom, as Ryan Welch found the back of the net at the 11-minute mark. The Knights managed to level the score in the 34th minute and continued to apply pressure. One more goal before halftime gave Christendom the 2-1 edge heading into the break.
The Knights attempted to claw back throughout the second half with 17 shot attempts, but the visiting team could not find their momentum on offense and Christendom walked away with a 3-1 victory.
