Men's Cross Country Has Strong Outing At The Roaring Lions Invitational

LEMONT FURNACE, PA - The Central Penn men's cross-country team had a succesful outing at the Penn State Fayette Roaring Lions Invitational, enduring the chilly and rainy conditions to finish strong in their first meet of the season.

The Knights’ top finisher was Jeremiah Fuller, who ran a personal best to finish 15th overall in a very competitive race.

The second Knight across the line was Rodney Ross, who finished with a huge personal best time (38:51.2) and maintained solid splits to register an excellent time and a great finish, placing 26th overall.

Zaheim Lewis also produced a huge PR of 41:27.0 to finish in 30st overall.

Quadere Allen ran a patient race to round out the scoring four for the Knights, registering a new personal record time of 47:12.8 and coming in at 37th overall.

A wonderful start at the Roaring Lions Invitational, which took place in stronger rain and deteriorating course conditions, still featured a number of strong performances from the Knights in what was the first ever race for all our runners.

What's Up Next
The Knights' next race is this weekend Saturday September 30th, when the Knights make the trip to Abington, PA, where Penn State Abington will host their Invitational at Lorimer Park. Following Saturday's strong performance, the Knights look to compete well and finish strongly in a field that promises to be filled with strong, nationally-ranked NCAA Division III schools.
