Central Penn Powers Past Trinity Washington, 13-0

HARRISBURG, PA. – Central Penn's women's soccer team earned their first victory of the season in a dominating 13-0 victory over Trinity Washington Tuesday evening at Skyline Sports Complex.

GAME SUMMARY

Central Penn (1-1-1) scored early and often during Tuesday's home matchup, had a strong defensive outing, and was able to secure a valuable non-conference victory.

The Lady Knights were the aggressors for much of the contest, having eight different players reach the back of the net (Sydney Bubb with a Hat Trick, Kacie Hoppel 2, Teagan Russell 2, Melody Cordon-Cota 2, Trinity Etzweiler 1, Kaniah McGraw-Leaks 1, Jamylett Lua 1, and Kelly Keifer 1).

The entire game was all Central Penn as well, with the Lady Knights applying constant pressure on the Trinity Washington side of the field, earning 3 corner kicks, and getting off 29 shots on goal without surrendering an attempt to Trinity Washington the entire game.

Our game today was our “PINK OUT” match to help support breast cancer awareness, our team wore pink socks for this contest! Central Penn College partnered with local organization Feel Your Boobies Foundation which focuses on breast health and cancer awareness for young women under the age of 40. Proceeds from concessions were donated to the FYB Foundation.
