Women’s Soccer Team hosts their Annual Spring ID Clinic

On Saturday, March 15th, the Central Penn Women’s Soccer team hosted their annual spring ID clinic on a turf field at the East Pennsboro School District’s athletic complex. It was a good opportunity for prospective student athletes to meet our coaching staff, current team, and play against our players and our other recruits.

The attendees participated in a high-level collegiate training session. The activities consisted of a dynamic warmup, a technical passing exercise followed by several small-sided games, before playing to regular-sized goals, and a cool down. Training was provided for both field players and goalkeepers.

In addition to working with our goalkeeper coach, Amanda Knaub, who played in D-1 and has had tryouts with NWSL professional teams, the two goalkeepers in attendance were also able to work our two ESAC All-Conference team keepers, Alison Quinn (2023) and Mady Brymesser (2024).

Coach Grubesky commented, “we had five committed student athletes from our 2025 class attending, so I was glad for the chance to see them all playing together for the first time. In addition, two of our top 2026 recruits ‘stole the show’ with their excellent play on the field.”

Grubesky said, “I am always glad when our recruits attend one of our ID clinics because they get to meet our team and work with my assistant coaches. I am very proud that Caitlin Brownley and Amanda Knaub are on our coaching staff because they are such great teachers of the game and evaluators of talent.”

Coach G. added, “I also thought our current players did their usual great job of making all the attendees feel welcome as well as taking time to answer questions during the debrief after the clinic. We certainly appreciate all the support that we had from our Athletic Department administrators, Admissions personnel, and Marketing staff to help make it another successful recruiting event .”
