Bio

Coach Knaub is currently in her second year as a Central Penn Assistant Women’s Soccer Coach. She previously worked 2 years as a goalkeeper coach for Cedar Stars Academy in Monmouth, NJ and is currently a goalkeeper coach with Keystone FC in Mechanicsburg, PA.

Prior to coaching, Knaub was an Academic All-American Goalkeeper at Division 1 Monmouth University in NJ where she holds many school and MAAC conference records including: Career Shutouts (45), Career wins (58) and Career Goals against average (.56). In her Senior season she led all NCAA Division 1 Goalkeepers with a Goals against Average of .202 and a save percentage of .923. She ranks #8 all time in NCAA division 1 history with 45 shutouts and her Senior season stats of 15 shutouts in 19 games ranks 3rd all-time and her goals against average of .202 ranks 5th all-time in NCAA Division 1 history.  In her Senior year (2019/2020) she garnered numerous awards including: Monmouth’s Paul G. Gaffney Female Athlete of the year, MAAC conference Goalkeeper of the year, First team All-MAAC conference, Cosida Academic All-District team, Scholar All-East Region team, All ECAC first team, ECAC Defensive Player of the year and Cosida All-American second team. In her career at Monmouth the team won 4 MAAC regular season, 4 MAAC Tournament Championships and they made 4 NCAA tournament appearances. She also was selected to the All MAAC team 4 times, *was MAAC Goalkeeper of the year twice and she was named to the MAAC 40-year anniversary team in 2020.

Prior to her college career at Monmouth University, she was a two-sport standout at Trinity High School where she played Soccer and Softball.  During her time at Trinity the soccer team won 3 Mid-Penn Capital division titles, 3 District 3 titles and 2 PIAA-A State Championships. In her career at Trinity, she only allowed 19 goals, she totaled 45 shutouts, was a team Captain her Senior year and made the All-State team. In her softball career she was a 3 time All-State, a 3-time Penn-live All-star and a 4 time All Mid Penn Capital selection at first base.  She still holds numerous Trinity career records including: hits, batting average, RBI’s and Home runs.  

Coach Knaub has a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a focus in Homeland Security from Monmouth University. Coach Knaub is excited to help build the Women’s Soccer program at Central Penn College and foster a culture of excellence for the years to come.

Her coaching philosophy is: “I firmly believe that in order to have a successful program, we must create an environment that encourages athletes to learn and develop both on and off the playing field.  We, as coaches, have the ability to teach life lessons and foster a culture of respect, teamwork, sportsmanship and excellence. We are not only developing female athletes that have the ability to play at the college level while earning a college degree, but preparing young women to take on the challenges of the world. I am excited to play a role in building the Women’s Soccer program at Central Penn College and working with top notch female athletes from around the area.”
