Bio

Chris Hartman enters his 2nd season as a member of the Men's Soccer coaching staff. As Osborne's right-hand man and goalkeeping coach, Hartman played a pivotal role in the rapid success of the program in 2023. His ability to give in-game analysis, provide purposeful feedback to players, and knowledge of the club soccer scene for recruiting made him an invaluable addition to the coaching staff. Head Coach Brian Osborne says, "Without Hartman, there is no 2023 National Coach of the Year award. His assistance allowed me to operate at max capacity. Our coaching dynamic on and off the sideline earned that honor. I'm lucky to have him."

Previously, Hartman served as an Assistant Director for a local club. Hartman was an Assistant Women’s coach at Lebanon Valley College for 1 season and 12 years an assistant men's soccer coach at Dickinson College. With the Red Devils, Hartman oversaw the daily training of keepers and assisted with field player training. Dickinson advanced to the Centennial Conference Tournament each year since 2007, including the program's first title in 2011. The team made the NCAA Tournament seven times during Hartman's tenure and hosted games in 2012 and 2013.

Hartman has his D license from US Soccer and has numerous licenses and certifications from the United Soccer Coaches Association and LaLiga. Hartman was on the Eastern Pennsylvania Olympic Development coaching staff for 4 years. In addition, he has a very strong background and extensive coaching experience at a number of camps and with a variety of youth and club soccer programs.

A 1999 graduate of Lebanon Valley College, Hartman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History, and was a member of the men’s soccer team all four years, serving as a team captain as a senior.
