Bio

Chris Hartman brings a wealth of experience and dedication to his first year as Head Coach of the Men's Soccer team, after two successful seasons as the assistant coach. Under his guidance, the program has seen impressive strides in recent years. His sharp in-game analysis, insightful player feedback, and expertise in the club soccer scene have played a significant role in the team's rapid development. 

Before stepping into the head coaching role, Hartman held a number of important positions in the soccer world. He was an Assistant Director at a local club and served as an Assistant Women's Soccer Coach at Lebanon Valley College for one season. Hartman also spent 12 years as an assistant coach for the men's soccer program at Dickinson College. During his tenure at Dickinson, Hartman was instrumental in the team’s success, helping them qualify for the Centennial Conference Tournament every year since 2007, including a historic first title in 2011. His work with the team contributed to seven NCAA Tournament appearances, as well as hosting games in 2012 and 2013.

Hartman holds a D license from US Soccer and has earned various other certifications from the United Soccer Coaches Association and LaLiga. He also spent four years on the Eastern Pennsylvania Olympic Development coaching staff, further expanding his extensive coaching experience. Additionally, Hartman has a strong background in youth and club soccer, having worked with numerous camps and youth programs over the years.

A 1999 graduate of Lebanon Valley College with a Bachelor of Arts in History, Hartman was a standout member of the men’s soccer team throughout his time at the college, even serving as team captain in his senior year. With a rich coaching background and a deep understanding of the game, Hartman is poised to lead the Men's Soccer team into a successful future.
