Bio

For the past six years, Kasey Hicks has served as the Director of Athletics at Central Penn College, where she has led with vision, innovation, and a deep commitment to the holistic development of student-athletes. Throughout her tenure, she has worked tirelessly to elevate the student-athlete experience—athletically, academically, and within the broader community. Under her leadership, the department has expanded sport offerings, implemented new academic support systems, established key facility partnerships, and greatly increased opportunities and exposure for Central Penn student-athletes.

An acclaimed and accomplished player in her own right, Kasey brings a lively enthusiasm and deep understanding of sport to her leadership. Kasey went on to play basketball professionally in Argentina, an experience that not only deepened her appreciation for cultural diversity and the global connection of sport, but also shaped her growth mindset as a leader. Living and competing abroad taught her the importance of adaptability, resilience, and the power of diverse perspectives. This experience shaped her professional approach, inspiring her to help student-athletes value diversity, learn from one another, and use their unique strengths to build stronger, more connected teams.

Kasey’s work has been widely recognized—earning her the 2019 Central Penn Team Spirit Award, 2022 USCAA Leadership Award, and the 2024 Athletic Director of the Year honor. She also serves on the USCAA Strategic Planning Board and actively volunteers with several youth sports organizations. Her efforts have consistently centered on helping students break cycles, graduate, and use athletics as a powerful tool for success in life.

Kasey believes that college athletics is about far more than competition:

“Athletics has a unique power to unite a community, build leaders, and create lifelong memories. I’m truly honored to play a small part in that journey.”
